How the Earth Loved the StarsThe snow made Aiden think of stars; gently falling stars, whirling and turning stars, giddy, swooning stars who fell from the night sky. Aiden wondered at this, as he fought to keep his eyes open. If the stars were falling, why wouldnt they cry out in horror? He listened hard and heard no wailing stars, so perhaps they jumped from their night sky? But Aiden was sure the stars loved their ocean of dark, hed watched them twinkle merrily every night, smug at their company of the moon, and could not think of a reason why the stars would leave the heavens and willingly turn to snow and join the Earth.How the Earth Loved the Stars
